JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Fixed-Income Trader is responsible for the daily negotiation and execution of Fixed-Income Securities Lending transactions and Cash Collateral Investments with the objective of providing optimal value to the underlying beneficial owner for the available portfolios enrolled in the program.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Managing daily trading/lending of discretionary pool of Fixed-Income assets to the borrower base.
  • Managing daily investing of beneficial owners’ cash collateral portfolios in various money market products
  • Relationship Management: with Borrowers and Money Market dealers, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both in person and remotely; maintenance and presentation of regular relationship status reports
  • Monitor rate variances compared to open discretionary loans and market data providers to ensure optimal rates are achieved; manage the re-rate process; monitor assigned asset types and countries on a daily basis.
  • Portfolio estimate process: identify relevant information and the potential revenue of a group of assets based on current lending markets and potential future revenue based on all factors (Existing/future demand, intrinsic value).
  • Interact with many groups internally (Settlements, recalls, Portfolio Accounting, compliance, legal and client relations) to manage daily discretionary and exclusive lending, as well as cash management.
  • Problem resolution: Pro-active issue/problem assessment and resolution to ensure minimal loan/return fails and accurate monthly billing.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BSc in accounting, finance, economics or related field required. Master’s degree in Finance preferred.
  • Ability to quickly become proficient in all markets and understand relevant trading opportunities.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the securities lending industry with an understanding of different trade types, collateral, billing and settlement processes.
  • Strong Excel skills required.  Experience with Bloomberg, Markit, Equilend, Cognos, and 4Sight beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client facing experience desired, aptitude to collaborate with other departments and build internal relationships.
  • Capability to travel.

POSITION: Assistant Vice President Portfolio Accounting
DEPARTMENT: Accounting

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Vice President Portfolio Accounting will be part of a Short-Term Fixed Income investment accounting team responsible for the asset, cash and income reconciliation process for our cash reinvestment clients. Candidate will be responsible for the oversight of investment products entailing the preparation of financial statements, vendor oversight, pricing, and preparation of audit requests. Additional responsibilities include assisting the business units in new Fund launches, in-kind subscriptions and redemptions, profitability, and Ad-hoc reporting. The position will also supervise Portfolio Accounting Analyst. This role requires frequent collaboration with other internal operations and investment teams and external service providers.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Portfolio Accounting team.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance procedures and documentation for the group.
  • Reviewing daily cash and holdings reconciliations with custodians, Bloomberg and MMF vendors. Ensuring Settlement of daily trades and compliance with procedures and controls.
  • Monitoring all discrepancies with custodians are identified researched and resolved in timely manner.
  • Coordinating communication between the trading desk, trade settlement and custodian banks to resolve issues.
  • Review accounting related issues included in new fund setup, Monitoring key performance indicators of fund status.
  • Maintaining internal files and records associated with the performance of duties in accordance with department and audit standards.
  • Facilitate all audit requests for internal and external parties
  • Interview, hire and coordinate training of new employees
  • Assisting with special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA required, Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years related experience in Portfolio Accounting or Mutual Fund Administration.
  • 1-2 years of Team Lead or Management experience.
  • Fund accounting principles and theories including Short Term Investment instruments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel as well as Microsoft Word. Experience with PAM beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Detail oriented including strong documentation skills

The Global Asset Servicing Associate supports the daily processing of global corporate actions within a securities lending operations group.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the daily dividend and interest claims process
  • Work with counterparties to ensure all payments are collected in a timely manner
  • Research, investigate, and resolve income breaks in a timely manner
  • Maintain effective working knowledge of the various local market practices and adapt to new practices accordingly
  • Maintain effective working relationships with lenders, borrowers and custodians

POSITION:  Payroll and A/P Specialist
DEPARTMENT:  Finance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Payroll and A/P Specialist will report directly to Senior Vice President and Controller of the company and will have full ownership of payroll, accounts payable and expense report processing functions within the accounting department.  In addition, this person will assist the Sr. VP and Controller in preparing for the year-end financial audit.   Benefits of this role are process ownership and accountability, and growth potential within a fast-growing, dynamic organization.


MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, approval, expense account allocation and processing of all vender invoices for the US operation of the Company, followed by the entry of the invoices in to the Company’s accounting system (QuickBooks).
  • Responsible for all aspects of bi-weekly payroll transmission to ADP. This involves ensuring that hourly employees have been approved and uploaded into ADP, working with HR to make any changes to employee comp or deduction amounts each payroll and reviewing and reconciling reports received back from ADP after transmittal.
  • Review, approval, expense account allocation and processing of all employee expense reports using the Concur expense report application which is integrated with QuickBooks, Prepare the weekly selection report of vender and employee payments, obtain approval of the Sr. VP and Controller, and create the weekly check run. Mail checks and file invoice packets as closed.
  • Assist the Sr. VP and Controller in preparation for the year end audit and other ad hoc audits during the course of the year.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business-related field and a BS/BA in Accounting.  Experience with ADP and QuickBooks is a plus.  This individual must be detail-oriented, organized and have the ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced work environment. Good interpersonal skills and time management skills are also required.  Prior experience in financial markets would be helpful, but not required.

Computer skills: Expertise in Excel and a working level of knowledge PC-based accounting application software is required.
